Longwood MAnorAs Macedonia's only building listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Longwood Manor has long been a fixture of the community and a piece of local history worth preserving. It was first built in 1924 and rebuilt in 1926 after a devasting fire. Its architectural style is Tudor Revival, which was popular among the wealthy in America in the early 1900s.

The Manor sits on more than 300 acres of land that once belonged to Col. William Frew Long, the first mayor of Macedonia and a veteran of both World War I and II. His land and home were given to the citizens of Macedonia for use as a public park, in accordance with his will, upon his death in 1984.

The property and its events are managed by the Longwood Manor Historical Society (LMHS), a group of volunteers dedicated to preserving Macedonia's history. LMHS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is registered as a volunteer committee with the City of Macedonia. Its primary goal is to restore the Manor to its original condition so it can serve as a public gathering space, museum, and the headquarters of the organization.

The restoration and updates being made to the Manor are funded through monetary donations, membership fees, fundraising events, and grants. Some contractors have even provided their services at cost.
