Work has started on a new paved trail at Longwood Park that will expand recreational options and improve accessibility. The project includes a 10-foot-wide, 1.04-mile asphalt loop that will circle the baseball fields and extend to Longwood Manor. It will also connect to the existing wooded trail system, creating a more integrated network for park users. Designed for all ages and abilities, the mixed-use trail will support wheelchairs, strollers, bikes, and pedestrians — making it easy for everyone to enjoy the park, regardless of mobility or experience level. The park will remain open during construction, and the new trail is expected to open later this fall.
