Summit County Fiscal Office Sends 2026 Property Value Reassessments

Post Date:07/22/2026 5:00 AM

Property value notices will begin arriving in mailboxes starting this week.

Every six years, Ohio requires counties to update property values. Summit County has completed its 2026 reassessment, and property owners will begin receiving their new value notices starting July 20. Any changes to your property's value will be reflected on tax bills mailed in January 2027.

As a reminder, the City of Macedonia receives only a small portion of your property taxes — about 8%. The largest share, approximately 73%, supports the Nordonia Hills City School District. If you have questions about your new property value, you can speak with a Summit County appraiser by phone, virtually, or in person. Several in-person meetings are being held around the county. The closest one for Macedonia residents is Monday, August 24, from noon-8 p.m. at the Twinsburg Community Center, 10260 Ravenna Road.

You can also look up your 2026 property value online at https://fiscaloffice.summitoh.net/. Select Property Tax and Appraisal, then make sure Tax Year 2026 is selected. The deadline to discuss your property value with an appraiser is August 27, 2026
