Shelters

The Macedonia Parks and Recreation Department has 3 shelters that are currently available for you to rent. Click here to view more information on rental information and policies.

Longwood Park

The largest of Macedonia's Parks, it is also one of the largest Metropolitan Parks in Ohio.  Longwood is located on the former estate of Colonel William Frew Long, the first Mayor of the City of Macedonia.  This 292 acre area on State Route 82 offers many recreational opportunities, including baseball and soccer fields, sand volleyball, playgrounds, picnic shelters with modern restroom facilities, an orchard, hiking trails, festival area, old style Tudor Manor House and a stocked 3 acre lake.
Memorial Park

Memorial Park is well known to residents as the Town Center Park, home to the Gazebo. Donated to the City in 1928 by Colonel E.C. Peck, this park has beautiful flower beds and Christmas light displays. Picnic tables provide a peaceful lunch alternative. Band concerts and other events are held at the Gazebo.

Sugarbush Park

Sugarbush Park is located on Ledge Road in the heart of the residential area. This jewel sits on 23 acres and includes a softball field, playground, basketball court, picnic shelter and hiking trail. The half mile loop trail follows a ravine, waterfall and ledges and offers a tranquil alternative to hiking enthusiasts.
Manor House
Located in the Longwood Park Home Days area, the Manor House is the original home of Colonel William Frew Long, the first Mayor of the City of Macedonia. The Manor House is being restored.
