Experienced nurse educators will prepare you for a positive birthing experience. This “crash course” is offered for couples unable to attend the 6 week series. It is a condensed version that includes topics covered in the traditional class with an emphasis on breathing and relaxation techniques.
Your instructor will discuss the physical and emotional changes that occur at the end of pregnancy, in labor and during postpartum. Learn about the stages of labor, common medical interventions and strategies to help you relax and manage the discomforts of contractions. You do not have to deliver at Marymount Hospital to attend this class.
